Which Route Applies to
Your Situation?
There are more than a dozen UAE residency categories. The right one is determined by your circumstances — your business structure, the nature of your assets, your professional credentials, and what you want your residency to achieve in the years ahead.
The guide on the right maps common situations to the appropriate route. Most clients come to Aurum with a situation rather than a specific visa in mind. The consultation is where we confirm which category applies, verify eligibility, and determine the most appropriate path forward.
Aurum advises across all UAE residency categories — investor and employment residency, the Golden Visa, Green Residency, retirement residency, family residency, and specialist long-stay routes including the Blue Residency and Digital Nomad visa.

Residency Categories
The Retirement Residency is a renewable 5-year route for individuals aged 55 or above with at least 15 years of work experience. The property-based route in Dubai currently requires qualifying real estate of AED 1 million alongside a financial deposit of AED 1 million.
The Digital Nomad and Virtual Work Residency allows remote workers to live in the UAE while employed by or running a business outside the UAE. The minimum income requirement is USD 3,500 per month.
The Blue Residency (10 years) covers individuals with recognised contributions to environmental protection or sustainability. Family and Dependent Residency allows eligible spouses, children, and parents to join UAE residents. Aurum coordinates dependent applications as part of the same engagement.
Retirement Residency
5-Year Renewable Residency
- Minimum age 55, with 15+ years of work experience
- Property route: AED 1M real estate + AED 1M financial deposit (Dubai)
- Covers eligible spouse and dependants
- Renewable on the same terms
Family & Dependent Residency
Bring Your Family to the UAE
Eligible spouses, children, and in some cases parents can be included once you hold UAE residency. Aurum coordinates entry permits, status changes, document attestation, certified translation, medical fitness, and Emirates ID for each dependant — as part of the same engagement.
Pre-Application
Document Attestation and
Education Recognition
One of the most preventable causes of application delays is documentation. A missing attestation, an unrecognised foreign qualification, or an inconsistency in personal documents can set an application back by weeks.
Before any submission, Aurum reviews your complete document file. We identify what is missing or non-compliant, confirm attestation requirements, and coordinate the full preparation process. For clients from India, Pakistan, the UK, and Europe, documents typically pass through several authority stages before UAE immigration will accept them. Aurum manages this in full.
- Embassy and consular attestation for foreign-issued documents
- UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) attestation
- Ministry of Education equivalency and recognition
- KHDA attestation and education documentation
- Certified translation for all major languages

Why Clients Choose Aurum
for UAE Residency
Pre-Application Document Review
Most application problems are documentation problems. Aurum reviews your entire document file before submission, identifies what is missing or non-compliant, and resolves gaps before they cause delays or rejections.
Attestation and MOE Coordination
Foreign documents require multi-stage authentication before UAE authorities will accept them. Aurum manages this for clients from India, Pakistan, the UK, and Europe, including Ministry of Education equivalency for educational qualifications.
Integrated Business and Residency
Company formation and investor residency are coordinated as one process at Aurum. You do not need separate advisers for each stage — one engagement, one point of contact, from trade licence to Emirates ID.
